It took me one semester to learn never to buy books from the bookstore. So expensive!! Instead, I contact my professors in between semesters to find out what we’ll be reading. Then I shop around for used copies on websites like Amazon.

Always ask for the ISBN numbers when doing this though. That way you know you’re getting the correct editions!

I’ve never used online textbooks before, though. Anyone have any thoughts?

  4. Don’t buy from the bookstore, but look at selling to them as an option. My bookstore has book buy back programs, and I always assumed they would rip me off, until one day I found that they gave me $90 for a used book that was only going for about $20 on Amazon used.
